Opportunity For All Youth will measure its impact based on data evidence provided to it by the coalition employers, the community employment agencies and the youth hired.

Opportunity For All Youth intends to make the following two key impacts:

  1. To significantly increase the number of NEET youth who succeed in meaningful employment; and
  2. To improve the hiring and retention results for NEET youth and demonstrate the return on investment for employers who hire NEET youth

We intend to achieve this by:

  1. Demonstrating and promoting the talent and contributions of NEET youth to the workplace;
  2. Making it easy for employers to work with community employment agencies;
  3. Making it easy for employers to learn from one another, share best practices and accelerate what is working;
  4. Building clear pathways within and across coalition employers to ensure career progression for NEET youth; and
  5. Driving systems change and improving pre and post employment training programs for NEET youth and employers.

One intended outcome of this work will be that 40,000 NEET youth will have been hired by coalition employers over the next 5 years, especially NEET youth who have been disconnected from the employment market for four months or longer at their time of hire.

Other outcomes that we will measure on an ongoing basis to assess our impact include:

  • Post hiring support utilization

  • Number of interviews undertaken by youth before securing work
  • What post hiring supports are youth using once employed
